Lessons from the beach...

1.  When packing camera gear, include sunscreen. (I am now bright red)
2.  When holding a photoshoot at  the beach, be more specific about meeting places.
3.  ALWAYS bring an assistant (Thanks, Josh).
4.   30 mins will NEVER be enough time for a family of 6, no matter how hard we try.
5.  Evaluate the walk from the parking lot TO the sand beforehand.
6.  Dads do NOT like to have light reflected in their face.  EVER.
7.  Don't trust my viewfinder.  Everything looked so dark that I started trying to overexpose images. It's fine, I can fix the ones that need it, but definitely need to rely on my own intuition rather than the little LCD.
8.  Enjoy it.

It was seriously a beautiful, beautiful day.
